Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Netherlands and Japan played out a 2–2 draw in their opening Group F match at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The match was held in Dallas, United States, and ended level.
Virgil van Dijk put the Netherlands ahead in the 50th minute, followed by a second goal for the Dutch side from Krisensio Summerville in the 64th minute.
Japan responded with goals from Keito Nakamura in the 57th minute and Daichi Kamada in the 88th minute.
