Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Hyper Partners GmbH from Germany intends to build a 500 MW solar power plant and power transmission line in Pap district of Namangan region.

The President of Uzbekistan signed a resolution on the implementation of a project for the construction of a solar power plant in Namangan region.

In January 2024, the government of Uzbekistan and Hyper Partners GmbH entered into an agreement on the implementation of this project. To implement this, Hyper Partners GmbH established the project company Next Solar Energy Group. It is expected that the amount of direct investment in the project will be US$350 million.

According to the resolution, the German company will also take over the construction of the power line.

JSC National Electric Grids will the purchase of electricity produced by this power plant for 25 years.
