World Bank, UNICEF Review Development of Social Services
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan's National Agency for Social Protection hosted a meeting with representatives of the World Bank, UNICEF, consultants from Oxford Policy Management (OPM) and the Agency's specialized departments to review the results of an expert assessment and discuss further measures to improve the quality of social services under the INSON project.
The meeting was held as part of the INSON project, which is being implemented by the Agency in cooperation with the World Bank and in accordance with an agreement between the Agency and UNICEF. Under the agreement, OPM specialists provide expert support in two key areas.
The first focuses on assessing the social service needs of children and families and developing a concept for a basic package of social services. The second involves analyzing case management processes, taking into account social risks, client pathways and service quality, while improving social work mechanisms at the mahalla level.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the findings of the assessment and discussed the organization of case management, approaches to identifying and assessing the needs of different population groups, and the integration of solutions developed by the Agency's departments into a unified social service delivery system.
Participants noted that the cooperation is aimed at improving the quality and effectiveness of social services at the mahalla level by applying international experience to provide more targeted and timely support for families in need.
