Uzbekneftegaz Explores Energy Cooperation with Bangladesh
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Chairman of the Management Board of Uzbekneftegaz, Abdugani Sanginov, held talks with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bangladesh to Uzbekistan, Mohammad Monirul Islam, to discuss potential areas of cooperation in the energy sector.
During the meeting, both sides highlighted the historical ties between the two countries, shared values, and the continued development of bilateral relations, including in tourism and broader trade and economic cooperation.
Particular attention was given to cooperation in the oil and gas industry. The discussions covered prospects for trade in petroleum products as well as potential expansion of collaboration in hydrocarbon exploration and production.
The Ambassador of Bangladesh emphasized that developing cooperation with Uzbekistan in the oil and gas sector is one of his country’s priority directions.
For his part, the head of Uzbekneftegaz noted that several international companies are already operating in Uzbekistan and that the company remains open to further expanding cooperation with foreign partners in the energy sector.
