Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A Uzbekistan–Türkiye business forum was held on 16 June 2026 in Tashkent at the CAEx complex as part of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF-2026).

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Minister of Economy and Finance Djamschid Kuchkarov, Minister of Trade of Türkiye Omer Bolat, representatives of government bodies of both countries, business communities, investors, large companies and business associations.

The forum was aimed at expanding trade, economic, investment and industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, as well as developing existing partnerships through the implementation of new projects and initiatives.

The event was organized by leading Turkish associations operating in Uzbekistan, including DEIK, DTIK, UTID, MUSIAD and ASKON.

Around 350 participants attended the forum, including more than 200 representatives from over 60 Turkish companies such as Cengiz Enerji, Anadolu Group, Çalık Holding, ODAŞ, AKSA Enerji, Rönesans Holding, ESAN Eczacıbaşı, OSTİM, SICPA TR, Nobel Pharmsanoat, Ziraat Bank and Özgüven İnşaat.

Participants noted that historical ties and trust-based relations between Uzbekistan and Türkiye provide a strong foundation for expanding economic cooperation.

The importance of high-level political dialogue between President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was emphasized as a key driver of trade and investment ties.

It was noted that cooperation between the two countries is actively developing in energy, industry, automotive production, pharmaceuticals, geology, construction and infrastructure.

In 2025, bilateral trade between Uzbekistan and Türkiye reached US$3 billion, increasing 1.9 times since 2017. The target of reaching US$5 billion was identified as a priority.

Uzbekistan hosts 2,137 enterprises with Turkish capital, while Turkish investment in 2025 amounted to US$2.6 billion.

The main part of the forum was held in a “Davos-style discussion” format, covering energy, finance, industry, investment and public-private partnership issues.

Participants included representatives of the business council, companies such as Çalık Enerji, Ziraat Bank, Anadolu Group, Ermak and Pro Cab, as well as representatives of the Public-Private Partnership Department under the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

It was also noted that Turkish companies are implementing more than 100 projects in Uzbekistan, including initiatives in energy, automotive manufacturing, industrial cooperation, mining and construction.

At the conclusion of the forum, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further expanding trade and investment cooperation, developing joint production projects, deepening industrial cooperation and strengthening technological collaboration.
