Uzbekistan, Türkiye expand investment partnership
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A Uzbekistan–Türkiye business forum was held in Tashkent with the participation of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, the OSTİM Foundation, and representatives of around 170 companies. The event served as a platform to discuss the expansion of economic cooperation and new investment projects between the two countries.
Over the past five years, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Türkiye has increased by 43.8%. Turkish investment in 2025 reached US$3.2 billion.
Currently, around 2,200 joint enterprises with Turkish capital are operating in Uzbekistan in construction, logistics, and the textile industry.
During the forum, leading Turkish companies, including Aksa Enerji, Anadolu Group, Demir Export, Kapeks Kimya Sanayi, and others, discussed prospects for projects in energy and chemical industries. One of the key priorities is achieving a 50% share of green generation by 2030, along with the development of the agricultural sector and the use of preferential regimes offered by IT Park and the Tashkent Pharma Park cluster.
Special attention was paid to cooperation in mining and industrial sectors. Uzbek Technical Metals Combine (UzTMK) signed memorandums of cooperation with several Turkish companies and investment structures, including the Türkiye Wealth Fund and international industrial groups.
Within B2B and G2B negotiations, the sides confirmed interest in applying Turkish expertise in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.
Participants noted the high potential of the regional pharmaceutical market, estimated at around US$9 billion, and expressed readiness to launch new joint production projects.
