Uzbekistan to reimburse accounting certification costs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of Uzbekistan has approved a temporary regulation establishing a procedure for reimbursing expenses related to taking exams under international accounting certification programmes.

The document applies to citizens of Uzbekistan and stateless persons permanently residing in the country and introduces a mechanism for compensating costs associated with international certification exam procedures.

Under the regulation, the state will cover expenses for initial registration and re-registration for examinations, provided that the applicant successfully passes the exams. The programme applies to candidates who register and take exams between May 1, 2026, and December 31, 2028.

To receive reimbursement, applicants must submit documents through public service centres, the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services, or the subsidiary portal subsidiya.mf.uz. The required package includes an application form, identification document, proof of expenses, a certificate confirming successful exam completion, and bank details.

The Ministry of Economy and Finance will review applications within seven working days and make a decision either to approve reimbursement or to refuse it.

The measure is aimed at supporting the professional development of accountants and raising the level of international qualification among specialists in the country’s financial sector.
