Uzbekistan, Russia to Localize Measuring Equipment Production
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and Russia have agreed to localize the production of modern metrological systems and high-precision measuring instruments, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding during the INNOPROM. Central Asia 2026 exhibition in Tashkent.
The document was signed between the Uzeltеkhsanoat Association and Russia’s ElMetro-Engineering. It outlines plans to expand cooperation in the electrical engineering sector, with a focus on establishing localized production capacities in Uzbekistan.
The equipment to be produced includes advanced metrological installations and precision instruments used in energy, chemical industries and geological exploration.

ElMetro-Engineering has more than 25 years of experience in industrial automation and the production of high-precision measuring devices. The company employs around 300 staff, including specialists at its research and technical center.
The memorandum forms part of a broader series of agreements and business meetings held במסגרת the exhibition, aimed at strengthening international industrial cooperation and facilitating technology transfer.
