Uzbekistan ratifies protocols of the Universal Postal Union

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has approved the law on the ratification of the Tenth Additional Protocol (adopted on 7 September 2018, in Addis Ababa) and the Eleventh Additional Protocol (adopted on 26 August 2021, in Abidjan) to the Constitution of the Universal Postal Union.

This document aims to strengthen international postal cooperation and improve the development of effective and sustainable postal services.

The ratified protocols include provisions for expanding partnership relations with member states of the Universal Postal Union, organizing international postal exchanges in line with new conditions and realities, and ensuring the protection of Uzbekistan's interests when interacting with postal operators of other countries.
