Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan sign contract for 25m cubic meters of gas

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uztransgaz joint stock company and Kyrgyzgaz open joint stock company signed a contract on supply of gas, the press service of the Kyrgyz company said.

Kyrgyzgaz said it completed negotiations process with Uztransgaz (Uzbekistan) and the sides inked the contract on supply of natural gas in the first quarter of 2014.

In line with the contract between Kyrgyzgaz and Uztransgaz, Kyrgyzstan will purchase 25 million cubic meters of gas in the first quarter of 2014. The cost of gas is US$290 per 1,000 cubic meters.
