Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Commercial banks in Uzbekistan had issued a total of 69.72 million bank cards as of April 1, 2026, according to data from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan.

The figure highlights the continued expansion of cashless payments across both consumer and business sectors in the country.

In the first quarter of 2026, transaction turnover through payment terminals reached 129.13 trillion soums, reflecting sustained growth in non-cash payments nationwide.

Uzbekistan’s payment infrastructure includes 442,450 payment terminals, while the combined network of ATMs and info-kiosks reached 44,810 units, of which nearly 26,000 are operated by payment organizations.

The National Bank of Uzbekistan remains the largest card issuer in the country, with 11.39 million cards in circulation. It also ranks among the top three banks by payment terminal network, operating 33,586 terminals, and leads the market in ATMs and info-kiosks with 3,132 units.

Agrobank ranks second with 6.62 million issued cards. It operates 32,516 payment terminals and 1,823 ATMs and kiosks, maintaining a strong presence in retail payments infrastructure.

Uzum Bank holds third place with 6.35 million cards issued, followed by Ipoteka Bank with 5.50 million and Anor Bank with 4.55 million.

Among digital banks, TBC Bank stands out with a customer base of 2.96 million cards despite not operating its own terminal network. It also ranks second in payment terminal turnover, processing 9.96 trillion soums in the first quarter of 2026.

Hamkorbank leads in payment terminal deployment with 60,982 devices, significantly ahead of competitors including the National Bank of Uzbekistan, Agrobank, and Uzpromstroybank.

In ATM infrastructure, the National Bank of Uzbekistan leads, followed by Agrobank, Kapitalbank with 1,707 units, Invest Finance Bank with 1,423 units, and Ipak Yuli Bank with 1,061 units.

In terms of transaction turnover through payment terminals, Alokabank recorded the highest figure at 16.45 trillion soums in January–March 2026. It is followed by TBC Bank, the National Bank of Uzbekistan, Uzum Bank, and Ipoteka Bank.

Despite operating a relatively smaller network of 14,931 terminals, Alokabank leads in transaction value, indicating high transaction density. In contrast, Hamkorbank’s leadership in terminal numbers reflects its strategy of broad geographic coverage across the country.
