Uzbekistan, IHG Discuss Medical Centre Modernisation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev held talks with Chief Executive Officer of the UK-based International Hospitals Group, Chester King.
The discussions focused on the practical implementation of projects in modern medical infrastructure, including the modernisation and reconstruction of the Republican Narcology Centre in the Kibray district, as well as the establishment of a National Centre of Excellence.
The sides noted that cooperation in this area is important for Uzbekistan in terms of attracting international expertise, introducing modern management standards, and improving the quality of specialised medical care.
Particular attention was paid to the financial model of the projects, potential mobilisation of international financing, staff training, and phased implementation of the works.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue detailed development of the initiatives with the participation of relevant ministries, financial institutions, and UK partners.
