Uzbekistan, France to hold meeting of intergovernmental commission
During the meeting issues of bilateral trade-economic, investment, and financial and technical cooperation, including the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation in Tashkent, the organization of the visit of the delegation "MEDEF" to Uzbekistan, as well as intensified practical cooperation with the French Development Agency and the implementation of joint projects with leading companies of France were discussed.
In 2014, the volume of trade between Uzbekistan and France amounted 287 million dollars. During the first quarter of this year the turnover increased by 7% to US$70 million.
About 14 enterprises with the share of French investments and 10 representative offices of leading French companies successfully operate in Uzbekistan.
