Almaty to Host Central Asian Microfinance Forum
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 21 September 2026, Almaty will host the Central Asian Microfinance Forum, a major industry event dedicated to the future of the microfinance market in Central Asia. The forum will be held at the prestigious venue of The Ritz-Carlton Almaty, bringing together key stakeholders from the regional financial sector.
The event expects to gather between 350 and 400 industry representatives from more than five Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and other regional markets. The attendee list features executives and owners of microfinance organizations (MFOs), commercial banks, payment organizations, fintech companies, investors, development funds, regulatory authorities, international financial institutions, scoring and anti-fraud platforms, as well as consulting and legal firms.
The forum's agenda centers on the development of microfinance across Central Asia, industry regulation, the digitalization of financial services, access to capital, financial inclusion, risk management, the integration of advanced technological solutions, and new frameworks for regional cooperation.
The program is structured around business panel sessions, discussions covering key industry bottlenecks, and dedicated B2B networking opportunities designed to connect financial sector representatives with technology providers, investors, and international bodies.
The forum is jointly organized by the Association of Microfinance Organizations of Kazakhstan (AMFOK) and the Coordinating Council of Associations of Microfinance Organizations of Central Asian Countries, with active involvement from other regional sector associations and partners.
