Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry discussed expanding trade and economic cooperation with Central Asian countries and Georgia, as well as preparations for the international business forum “New Uzbekistan — A Crossroads of Global Trade Routes,” scheduled to take place in Tashkent on 29 November–1 December and 4–5 December 2026.

The meeting was attended by Alisher Shaikhov, an adviser to the chairman of the Chamber, Irakli Kvanchakhadze, Georgia’s ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan, as well as trade and economic advisers and representatives of Central Asian countries and Georgia.

Participants considered prospects for industrial cooperation, joint manufacturing projects, investment attraction, and the exchange of technology and expertise. Particular attention was paid to opportunities for businesses to jointly enter third-country markets.

To make the upcoming forum more effective, the sides stressed the need to select participating companies in advance and identify specific areas for cooperation between businesses. They also highlighted the importance of monitoring the implementation of agreements reached at the event.

Following the meeting, participants agreed to coordinate preparations for the forum, continue cooperation between chambers of commerce and industry, and strengthen business ties between entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan and countries across the region.
