Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held during the international exhibition Pharma Eurasia & Med Tech 2026 between Director of Uzbekistan’s Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry Abdulla Azizov and a representative of the Indian company Cadila Pharmaceuticals.

The talks focused primarily on issues related to the registration of medicines, improvement of regulatory procedures, and mechanisms of cooperation in the circulation of pharmaceutical products. The Uzbek side presented information on existing registration procedures and measures aimed at improving the efficiency and transparency of the regulatory system.

The parties also discussed investment opportunities in Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical sector, including prospects for localization of production and implementation of joint projects within the Bio Pharma City pharmaceutical cluster.

Additional attention was given to obtaining GMP certification in Uzbekistan, implementation of international quality standards, and development of manufacturing infrastructure in line with global requirements.

Following the meeting, the participants expressed interest in continuing dialogue and further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector.
