Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mirvokhid Azimov held a meeting on 18 June 2026 with representatives of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and the diplomatic corps of Hungary.

The meeting was attended by Balazs Hendrik, Executive Director of the OTS Representation Office in Hungary and Chairman of the Council of the OTS Drought Prevention Institute, as well as Jozsef Rozsa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Uzbekistan.

The sides discussed current issues regarding the development of multifaceted cooperation within the framework of the OTS, as well as prospects for expanding Uzbek-Hungarian interaction in areas of mutual interest.

Special attention was paid to the activities of the OTS Drought Prevention Institute.

The participants considered joint initiatives and projects in the fields of rational water resource management, adaptation to climate change, the introduction of modern agricultural technologies, and the strengthening of food security.
