Uzbekistan Delegation Discusses Cooperation with Czech Republic

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation of Uzbekistan led by Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov paid a working visit to the Czech Republic on 16–17 April, where it held talks with government representatives and executives of several major companies.

During the meetings, the sides focused on expanding bilateral cooperation in key sectors of the economy. In particular, discussions covered prospects for collaboration in mechanical engineering, mining and geology, the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, as well as the energy sector.

Special attention was given to issues of production localization, the introduction of modern technologies, workforce training, and improving energy efficiency. A separate focus was placed on projects related to critical minerals and the production of high value-added goods.

The parties also reviewed possible formats for implementing joint initiatives, including attracting long-term financing, expanding state support instruments, strengthening cooperation between enterprises, and establishing joint production facilities.

According to data presented during the visit, there are currently 44 enterprises operating in Uzbekistan with Czech Republic capital participation, reflecting sustained interest from Czech businesses in expanding their presence in the Uzbek market.
