Uzbekistan, Belarus discuss Afghanistan agenda meeting

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 28 April 2026, Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan on Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev held talks with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Uzbekistan Alexander Ogorodnikov.

During the meeting, the sides discussed in detail prospects for practical cooperation in the Afghan direction, as well as selected issues on the bilateral agenda between Uzbekistan and Belarus.

Following the talks, both sides expressed interest in further strengthening cooperation and continuing constructive dialogue on issues related to the situation in Afghanistan, as well as other areas of mutual engagement.
