Uzbekistan Approves Special Tax Regime for Foreign Citizens

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Government of Uzbekistan has approved Regulation No. 270 dated 21 May 2026, introducing a procedure for granting a special tax regime for foreign citizens.

According to the document, foreign nationals can apply for the special tax regime through the Unified Portal of Interactive State Services my.gov.uz, the electronic tax services portal, or via Public Service Centers.

Applicants are required to submit a copy of their passport, as well as a document confirming their period of stay in Uzbekistan (such as a visa or other supporting documents).

The State Tax Committee will review applications and send notification of the Commission’s decision within one working day.

In case of approval, the foreign citizen is required to open a bank account or crypto wallet and pay a special fee of 50,000 US dollars.

The special tax regime may also be extended to eligible foreign citizens’ adult close relatives.

The duration of the regime is determined by the applicant but cannot exceed five years.
