Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva held a meeting with Bo Mathiasen, Deputy Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), on the sidelines of an international forum taking place in Samarkand.

The parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in combating drug trafficking, organized crime, cybercrime, and corruption.

Special attention was given to an initiative aimed at developing the Samarkand Forum into a permanent international dialogue platform.

During the meeting, it was noted that Uzbekistan’s election to the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice creates additional opportunities to deepen practical cooperation with international partners.
