Uzbekistan and Türkiye strengthen defense cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a report from Minister of Defense Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov on the development of cooperation with the Republic of Türkiye in the defense sector.
A senior representative of the Turkish Armed Forces also took part in the meeting. The sides discussed the current state and future prospects for strengthening cooperation between the defense ministries of the two countries.
It was noted that cooperation is developing within the framework of agreements reached at the highest level. Particular attention was given to expanding military-technical cooperation, increasing interagency contacts, conducting joint activities, and training military specialists.
The parties confirmed their readiness to further deepen partnership in the military sphere and to expand practical cooperation across key areas of defense engagement.
