Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) —  On 7 November 2024, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Economy and Finance with representatives from the Japanese company Sojitz Corporation.

During the meeting, special attention was given to the joint implementation of infrastructure projects aimed at modernizing Uzbekistan’s energy, transportation, and water systems.

The parties discussed potential areas for the introduction of innovative technologies in these sectors and explored opportunities for attracting investments to carry out such initiatives through public-private partnerships (PPP).

As a result of the meeting, both sides expressed interest in further developing cooperation and their readiness to implement joint projects, which will contribute to the sustainable development of Uzbekistan’s infrastructure.

Sojitz Corporation is a large Japanese trading and investment company with a presence in more than 50 countries worldwide. The company operates in a wide range of sectors, including energy, infrastructure, transportation, real estate, and chemicals.
