Uzbekistan and Oman Discuss Expanding Investment Ties

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 29 April, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov held talks with the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Uzbekistan, Wafa Al Busaidi, focusing on the development of economic, investment and logistics cooperation between the two countries.

Both sides noted that a solid foundation for mutually beneficial partnership has already been established between Uzbekistan and Oman, while also emphasizing significant untapped potential for further expansion of bilateral engagement.

At present, 10 enterprises with Omani capital are operating in Uzbekistan. In addition, around 20 joint projects with a combined value of approximately US$3.2 billion are currently under development.

During the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in strengthening cooperation further and advancing new investment initiatives.

Special attention was also given to Oman’s planned participation in the fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum, scheduled to take place on 16–18 June.
