Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan discuss demarcation of state border

Working groups of governmental delegations of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan held a meeting to discuss on issues of delimitation and demarcation of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz state border.
According to the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, the meeting of the working groups was held in Jalal-Abad (Kyrgyzstan) on 21-26 May 2017.
During the meeting, the parties conducted desk work on the areas of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz border, as well as joint topographic and land surveying works on the site of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz state border.
During the negotiations, the sides also discussed the preparation of the draft interim Agreement on the delimitation of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz border.
