Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Prepare Joint Business Forum

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan discussed preparations for an Uzbek-Kazakh business forum, which will be held during a Kazakh delegation's visit to Uzbekistan in August.

Negotiations took place on 30 July 2026 via videoconference.

The Uzbek side was represented at the meeting by Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Davron Vakhabov and Advisor to the Chairman Alisher Shaykhov.

The talks were also attended by Chairman of the Presidium of the "Atameken" National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan Kanat Sharlapaev, Chairman of the Board of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan and Co-Chairman of the Kazakh-Uzbek Business Council Murat Karimsakov, as well as representatives of the Kazakh side.

Participants reviewed the program for the upcoming visit of the Kazakh business delegation, organizational issues concerning the business forum, and further measures to develop cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries.

The Kazakh delegation is expected to include leadership of the "Atameken" National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, representatives of regional chambers, delegations from Astana, Almaty, and Taraz, the Turkestan, Kostanay, and East Kazakhstan regions, as well as representatives of the Livestock Association of Kazakhstan, the Oil and Fat Industry Association, the QazAI Association for the Development of Artificial Intelligence, and other industry associations.

Logistics and agro-industrial cooperation have been identified as priority areas of interaction for the forum.

The visit program also includes visits to a technopark in Tashkent, industrial enterprises, and meetings with Uzbek manufacturers.

Following the negotiations, the parties confirmed their intention to intensify cooperation to increase mutual trade turnover, expand industrial cooperation, and implement joint projects outlined in bilateral agreements.
