Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Kamilhan Suleyman Yazici, chairman of the board of Anadolu Group, in Ankara to discuss modernising the SamAuto automotive plant and implementing new investment projects in Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the sides noted that the holding’s investments in soft drinks production and the automotive industry in Uzbekistan reflected the company’s confidence in the reforms being implemented in the country.
Particular attention was given to additional investment projects to modernise SamAuto in Samarkand, expand the plant’s production capacity and increase exports of its products.
The sides also discussed prospects for a major Turkish retail chain to enter the Uzbek market, the construction of a livestock complex, and the establishment of meat and dairy production facilities.
