Uzbekistan and Germany to Expand Migration Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Head of the Migration Agency of Uzbekistan Behzod Musaev met with the newly appointed Ambassador of Germany to Uzbekistan Matthias Vollert to discuss expanding organized employment opportunities for Uzbek citizens in Germany, alongside vocational training and German language instruction, UzDaily.uz reported.

The discussion focused on aligning workforce training with the current demands of the German labor market. Demand remains high in Germany for medical personnel, drivers, hospitality and restaurant industry workers, as well as technical specialists.

The Uzbek side expressed readiness to scale up vocational training programs for citizens to meet the specific requirements and standards set by German employers.

In addition, both parties agreed to streamline visa processing procedures for Uzbek citizens seeking employment in Germany.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to engage additional German employers and educational institutions. This collaboration aims to broaden opportunities for organized labor migration and prepare Uzbek specialists for integration into the German job market.
