Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 30 August 2025, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a phone conversation with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
President Mirziyoyev warmly congratulated Alexander Lukashenko on his birthday, wishing him good health, well-being, success, and peace and prosperity to the friendly Belarusian people.
In turn, President Lukashenko congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the people of Uzbekistan on the upcoming Independence Day, expressing wishes for sustainable development and continued progress for the country.
The leaders discussed ways to deepen comprehensive Uzbek-Belarusian partnership, taking into account agreements reached during Lukashenko’s visit to Uzbekistan in February 2024.
Both sides noted the dynamic and productive exchanges at various levels. It was highlighted that over the first eight months of 2025, trade turnover between the two countries grew by 30%. Joint projects in agriculture, electrical engineering, machinery, textiles, and other sectors are being successfully implemented. Inter-parliamentary, business, and cultural-humanitarian ties are also actively developing.
The presidents agreed on the schedule of upcoming bilateral meetings and events.
