Uzbekistan and Amazon Kuiper Sign Memorandum on Satellite Internet Development

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with representatives of the American company Amazon Kuiper.

During the discussion, the parties addressed cooperation in developing digital infrastructure and improving broadband internet services.

Following the meeting, the Ministry of Digital Technologies and Amazon Kuiper Commercial Services LLC signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The document outlines areas of collaboration for providing high-speed internet services across the country via the Project Kuiper satellite network and for advancing the nation’s telecommunications infrastructure.

Amazon Kuiper is a division of Amazon Corporation focused on the satellite internet project, aiming to deliver high-speed internet access worldwide through low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites.
