Uzbekistan advance to semis by battering Malaysia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Despite of ending the first half with a 1-1- score line, Malaysia failed to stop the Uzbeks from adding more three goals to come out triumphant 4-2 in the group A fixture played at Qatar Sports Stadium.

Hutuv Dimity opened the account for Uzbekistan on 7 minutes, but was canceled out by Gary Robat who leveled the score three minutes later.

The Uzbeks started the second half on an attacking note; three successive goals were enough for them to feel slightly indifferent regarding Malaysia’s second goal right before the final whistle.
