Uzbekistan Adds AGAT CREDIT, Freedom Finance to Sandbox

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The National Agency for Prospective Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan has registered JSC MFO AGAT CREDIT and IE LLC FREEDOM FINANCE as participants in a special legal regime known as a “regulatory sandbox” in the capital market sector.

The decision was made as part of efforts to develop the financial market and test new investment-raising instruments under simplified regulation.

According to the submitted data, JSC MFO AGAT CREDIT plans to issue bonds denominated in foreign currency. IE LLC FREEDOM FINANCE will act as an investment intermediary for the issuance and subsequent placement of these bonds.

Participation in the regulatory sandbox will allow the companies to test new financial instruments in a controlled environment before their possible large-scale implementation in Uzbekistan’s capital market.
