Uzbek President to visit Kazakhstan on working trip

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Kazakhstan on 15 May at the invitation of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

According to the press service of the head of state, Mirziyoyev will take part in an informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which will be held in Turkestan under the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development.”

During the meeting, the leaders of the participating countries will discuss prospects for further expansion of multilateral cooperation. Particular attention is expected to be given to interaction in trade, economic, investment, transport, communications, and environmental areas.

The summit agenda also includes issues related to the development of digital infrastructure, the introduction of innovative technologies, and the practical application of artificial intelligence-based solutions.

In addition, heads of delegations will consider current international and regional issues.

Following the event, the adoption of the Turkestan Declaration is expected.
