Uzbek Judo Team to Compete at Budapest Grand Slam
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Six members of Uzbekistan’s national judo team will compete at the Grand Slam tournament in Budapest, which will take place from 11 to 13 September, the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan said.
More than 500 athletes from 70 countries are expected to compete in the Hungarian capital. Uzbekistan will be represented by three men and three women.
In the men’s competition, Doston Ruziyev will compete in the up to 60 kg category. Elbek Tojiyev will represent Uzbekistan in the up to 73 kg category, while Murodjon Yuldoshev will compete in the up to 81 kg category.
Among the women, Sevinch Murodova is entered in the up to 48 kg category. Mukhayyo Akhmatova will compete in the up to 52 kg category, while Marjona Kuchimova will compete in the up to 78 kg category.
The Uzbek judokas have travelled to Hungary to take part in the latest Grand Slam tournament.
