Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan has commented on reports circulating on social media regarding the death of Uzbek citizen Kim Nozima Akmal qizi, who had been residing in South Korea.

According to the ministry, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Seoul has been cooperating with South Korean law enforcement agencies since the incident occurred, carrying out necessary work to establish the circumstances and ensure an objective investigation.

As part of consular support, the mother of the deceased, Feruza Alimbekova, was invited to South Korea with the assistance of the embassy and local law enforcement authorities. On 14 April, she, together with her lawyer and diplomatic representatives, took part in a meeting with police in the city of Pyeongtaek, which is leading the investigation.

The South Korean side provided information on additional investigative measures and preliminary findings. According to law enforcement authorities, forensic examination did not reveal any signs of violent death.

It was also reported that additional analyses were conducted, including toxicological tests, blood analysis, and fingerprint examination. Police stated that no traces of toxic substances, medication, or external or internal injuries were found.

During the meeting, the mother of the deceased and her lawyer were shown CCTV footage from the area of residence and medical facilities where the citizen had been taken.

Police in Pyeongtaek stated that the investigation is ongoing and that its final conclusions will be communicated to the immediate family.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the embassy continues to monitor the situation and cooperate with the Korean side. Citizens were urged to refrain from spreading unverified information and to respect the memory of the deceased.
