Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev has met with representatives of around 100 Turkish companies operating in the country.

The talks were held as part of preparations for a meeting of the Uzbekistan–Türkiye High-Level Council for Business Support, scheduled to take place in Tashkent in November.

According to Khodjaev, around 2,400 companies with Turkish investment are currently operating in Uzbekistan.

The meeting was attended by representatives of various economic sectors, including energy, construction and infrastructure, banking, textiles, mining, pharmaceuticals, food production and information technology.

Khodjaev noted that direct dialogue with business representatives helps identify the challenges facing companies and shape a practical agenda for further cooperation.

The experience of Turkish investors already operating in Uzbekistan also helps improve the business environment.

Following discussions with the heads of ministries and government agencies, the parties agreed on further steps to address the issues raised by business representatives.
