Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Representatives of the Uzbek community and their American friends held a joint hashar at Tashkent Park in Seattle, Washington, cleaning and improving the area, the Tashkent City Hokimiyat said.
The initiative was organized by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Washington State.
Participants focused on cleaning the area and maintaining cleanliness in the park. Their joint efforts helped put the space in order and improve its appearance.
The event served not only as a community improvement initiative but also as an opportunity for participants to meet, socialize and spend time together.
After the hashar, participants shared a meal featuring the traditional Uzbek dish plov.
The Tashkent City Hokimiyat highlighted the importance of such initiatives in strengthening ties between people and promoting the tradition of hashar outside Uzbekistan.
According to the authority, the event in Seattle demonstrated cooperation between members of the Uzbek community and local residents.
