US–Uzbek Business Forum Held in Tashkent at TIIF-2026

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An American–Uzbek business forum was held at the CAEx Uzbekistan exhibition center in the Kokand Hall in Tashkent as part of the fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum, focusing on the development of investment and trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States.

The event aimed to expand investment cooperation, strengthen collaboration in strategically important sectors of the economy, and create new jobs. The forum was conducted with simultaneous interpretation into Russian and English.

At the opening ceremony, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov noted record participation from US companies, stating that 193 American companies were present, marking the largest business delegation in the history of bilateral relations.

The program included a high-level panel session and a fireside chat focused on innovation, investment, and job creation, with participation from representatives of the Government of Uzbekistan, US financial institutions, and major American businesses.

Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) Ben Black highlighted the significant potential of Central Asia and confirmed readiness to expand long-term cooperation with the region.

President and Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM Bank) John Jovanovic emphasized the importance of strengthening financial and investment partnerships and expanding the deployment of US technologies and services in Uzbekistan.

A separate panel session was dedicated to critical minerals and advanced technologies as a foundation for future industrial development. Discussions included senior executives from international companies in technology, financial services, agricultural machinery, and aviation sectors.

Senior Vice President of FLSmidth Peter Flanagan highlighted the importance of the mining sector for Uzbekistan’s economic development and emphasized the role of industrial modernization and large-scale industrial projects.

Within the forum, documents were signed in the fields of industry, oil and gas, finance, aviation, geological exploration, satellite communications, and digital infrastructure.
