Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Tatarstan enterprises are expanding their presence in the Uzbek market, according to discussions held during high-level meetings in Tashkent involving Russian and Uzbek officials.

Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, participated in a meeting between First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Denis Manturov and Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdullah Aripov.

The talks focused on the implementation of large-scale joint projects between Russia and Uzbekistan, with particular attention to Tatarstan’s involvement. Participants highlighted the importance of developing industrial cooperation and broadening economic ties.

Minnikhanov is on a working visit to Uzbekistan and is taking part in events of the international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia”.

According to the press service of the Tatarstan leader, Tatarstan-based companies are actively expanding their presence in the Uzbek market, particularly in the fields of mechanical engineering, the oil industry, and medical technologies.

During his meeting with Prime Minister Aripov, Minnikhanov stressed the importance of the INNOPROM exhibition as a platform for strengthening cooperation with countries in the region, especially Uzbekistan.

He also noted the participation of a large Tatarstan delegation representing the region’s industrial and business community.
