Shavkat Mirziyoyev Departs for Official Visit to Japan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for Japan on 18 December for an official visit at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.

During his stay in Tokyo, a series of high-level bilateral meetings and events are scheduled.

The visit is expected to result in the signing of a package of bilateral documents aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.

As part of the visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will also participate in the inaugural summit of the “Central Asia + Japan” dialogue of heads of state.
