Senate to hold session in late March

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan will hold its ninth plenary session in Tashkent on 28-29 March 2017, the press service of the upper house of the Uzbek parliament said.

The Council of the Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan held a session in Tashkent on 22 March and adopted a decision on convocation of the ninth plenary session of the Senate.

Senators will consider several laws, including introduction of changes to the Continuation, the law “On courts”, amendments to Civil Procedure Code and Economic Procedure Code, law “On Supreme Judicial Council of Uzbekistan”, etc.

The senators will also hear the reports of the Ombudsman, head of the Accounting Chamber, Prosecutor General, Minister of internal affairs, Chairman of Central Bank of Uzbekistan and chairman of the State Committee for Nature Protection.

The Senate will also consider other issues of its jurisdiction.
