SCO judges discuss property rights protection in crisis

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairperson of the Supreme Courts of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) gathered for a two-day meeting in the Kyrgyz city of Cholpon-Ata (Issyk-Kul region) on Wednesday, 9 September.

The meeting participants will discuss issues related to the protection of property rights "in the conditions of the global economic crisis," as well as ensuring the protection of copyright, allied, inventor’s and patent rights "in the practice of consideration by courts of criminal cases."

Besides, the heads of the Supreme Courts from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan during the talks in Cholpon-Ata will touch upon the issue of the development of "juvenile justice in the SCO member states."
