Real Madrid Tops World's Most Valuable Football Brands List
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The combined brand value of the world's top 50 football clubs reached 23.9 billion euros, with their aggregate enterprise value hitting 79.7 billion euros, according to the Brand Finance Football 50 2026 report. The top 10 clubs account for more than 60 percent of the total brand value, signaling a widening gap between the global football elite and remaining teams.
Real Madrid held the top spot as the world's most valuable football brand for the third consecutive year. The Spanish club's brand value grew by 25 percent over the year to reach 2.4 billion euros.
Barcelona retained second place with a 15 percent increase in brand value to 2 billion euros. Arsenal entered the top three for the first time, rising five positions after its brand value grew by 28 percent to 1.5 billion euros. Collectively, the 10 most valuable football brands are valued at 14.9 billion euros. Since 2012, the total value of the top 10 brands has grown by 250 percent, compared to a 220 percent increase across all top 50 brands.
Stuttgart demonstrated the fastest growth among the top 50 clubs, nearly doubling its brand value to 183.5 million euros. Aston Villa saw its brand value rise by more than 60 percent.
Real Madrid strengthened its lead through increased commercial revenue during the first full season following the renovation of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. Combined with a global fan base and sponsorship deals, the stadium renovation contributed to total revenue of 1.2 billion euros for the 2025/26 season.
Barcelona gained commercial momentum following its phased return to the Spotify Camp Nou, closing in on an annual revenue of 1 billion euros alongside back-to-back La Liga titles under head coach Hansi Flick and a Spanish Super Cup victory.
Arsenal's growth was driven by its first Premier League title in 22 years, a Champions League final appearance, and projected revenue of approximately 790 million pounds sterling.
Bayern Munich climbed two places to fourth position following a domestic treble, winning the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, and German Supercup. Paris Saint-Germain retained fifth place with a 10 percent increase in brand value to 1.5 billion euros after winning the UEFA Champions League, Ligue 1, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Intercontinental Cup, and Trophee des Champions.
Manchester City, Liverpool, and Manchester United dropped in the brand value rankings despite individual valuation growth. Chelsea maintained ninth place with a brand value of 955 million euros, while Borussia Dortmund returned to the top 10 for the first time in a decade.
In brand strength metrics, Real Madrid ranked first with a Brand Finance Brand Strength Index score of 95.8 out of 100, followed by Barcelona at 95.4 and Bayern Munich at 94.0. Arsenal ranked as the strongest football brand in the United Kingdom and fourth globally with a score of 94.0, ahead of Liverpool in fifth and Manchester United in sixth. Chelsea and Manchester City placed seventh and eighth, with Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund rounding out the top 10 most powerful football brands.
