Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 4 March, a phone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The leaders discussed the escalating situation in the Middle East, noting that the rising conflicts and tensions are causing serious concern. During the conversation, they emphasized the urgent need to halt actions that threaten peace and stability, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, which contradict the principles of international law.
President Mirziyoyev expressed solidarity and support for the leadership and people of the UAE, highlighting the strategic partnership and friendly relations between the two countries. He extended special gratitude for the practical assistance provided to Uzbek citizens in the Emirates and for measures taken to ensure their safe return home.
In response, the President of the UAE expressed appreciation to the Uzbek leader for his support, fraternal respect, and solidarity during this challenging period.
