Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- A government resolution “On simplifying the procedure for the transportation of foreign trade goods under customs control on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as further support for participants in foreign economic activity” was adopted.
In accordance with the resolution, the procedures for organizing customs escort of goods on roads under customs control, as well as accounting and control of customs payments in the process of transporting foreign goods, based on interaction with authorized persons in real time and in an interactive form, were approved.
According to this, customs clearance of goods and vehicles accompanied under customs control, using specially equipped vehicles in order to ensure traffic safety, is carried out on a priority basis at the customs points of departure and destination, as well as at points of acceptance and transfer.
When carrying out customs escort, the costs of the carrier, consignor or consignee are not covered by the customs authorities.
At the checkpoints of the internal affairs bodies, it is prohibited to stop and open the cargo compartment of a car to inspect the goods of vehicles moving with customs escort.
The provision of customs payments in the process of transportation of foreign goods is carried out by authorized persons online, in electronic form.
