Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to preliminary data, in January-June 2020, enterprises of Uzbekistan produced industrial products worth 166.9 trillion soums, which fell by 1.9% compared to the same period of 2019.
The State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan said that the index of physical volume of industrial production by the same period in 2019 made up 98.1%. In the structure of production, the largest share falls on manufacturing enterprises (81.2%).
The main factor in the decrease in the physical volume of industrial production was its decrease in the mining industry and quarrying - by 20.1%, in water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal - by 7.1%, while there was an increase in the volume in the manufacturing industry - by 2,2%, production in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning - by 12.9%.
The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in January-June 2020 made up 17.2 trillion soums, or 10.3% of the total industry.
Compared to the same period of 2019, this year there is an increase in crushed stone production by 2.3% and oil - by 3.1%. At the same time, there is a decrease in coal production by 0.3%, gas condensate - by 30.3%, gravel - by 64.4%, kaolin - by 0.7%, natural gas - by 17.1%.
Manufacturing enterprises in January-June 2020 produced goods for 135.6 trillion soums, or 81.2% of the total industry.
In the structure of the manufacturing industry, the share of high-tech industries made up 1.6% (1.7% in January-June 2019), medium-high tech industries - 23.8% (26.0%), medium-low-tech industries - 38.9% (36.4%) and low-tech - 35.7% (35.9%).
In the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises for the production, repair, assembly of machinery and equipment, the production of cars, trailers, semi-trailers and other finished products made up 19.3% (the physical volume index reached 100.1% by January-June 2019), the metallurgical industry - 24.5% (103.8%), enterprises for the production of textile, clothing and leather products - 16.4% (107.7%), for the production of food, drinks and tobacco products - 16.6% (104,2%), enterprises for the production of chemical products, rubber and plastic products - 9.9% (98.0%).
In January-June 2020, the republic produced 522.3 thousand tons of motor gasoline (an increase of 5.6% compared to the corresponding period of 2019), 214.1 thousand tons of cotton yarn (10.8%), 912.6 thousand tons of soft wheat flour and spelled (20.3%) and 118.1 million liters of beer (24.3%).
For January-June 2020, 464 units were produced in the republic. buses (production decrease by 49.1% compared to the corresponding period of 2019). The largest production volume in 2020 was recorded in March, amounting to 176 units.
In January-June 2020, 113.1 thousand automobile engines were produced in the republic (an increase of 20.7% over the corresponding period of 2019). In 2020, the largest volume of production of these products was noted in March, amounting to 22.5 thousand units.
In January-June 2020, 1,832 trucks were produced in the republic (by the corresponding period of 2019, the volume of production decreased by 25.4%). In 2020, the largest production volume of these products was recorded in June, amounting to 389 units.
Compared to the same period in 2019, the manufacturing industry increased the production of passenger cars by 1.2 times, automobile engines - by 1.2 times, motor gasoline - by 1.1 rubles, chassis wheels, their parts and accessories - by 1.1 time, radiators, noise mufflers and exhaust pipes, clutches, steering wheels, steering columns, steering gear housings and their parts - 1.4 times.
In the automotive industry in January-June 2020, 35,050 Nexia cars were produced (-0.1%) 37,682 - Cobalt (+54.2%), 26,047 - Gentra (+33.0%), 26 687 - Damas (+15.8%), 14 511 - Spark (+60.4%) and 3 478 - Labo (-9.3%).
In January-June 2020, 630 tractors were produced in the republic (by January-June 2019, production growth increased by 4.7%). The largest volume of tractor production was recorded in April 2020, amounting to 234 units.
In January-June 2020, 573 units were produced in the republic. rippers and cultivators (a decrease in production was recorded by 53.4% over the corresponding period of 2019). In April 2020, the largest production volume of these products was noted, amounting to 144 pcs.
The overhaul of technological equipment made it possible to increase the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and exceed the production figures of the previous year for ammonium sulfate (+10.1%), potassium chloride (+1.8%) and caustic soda (by 3.3 times). At the same time, there is a decrease in the production of methyl alcohol (55.3% compared to January-June 2019), paints and varnishes based on acrylic or vinyl polymers (89.0%).
The volume of products produced by the enterprises of power supply, gas supply, steam and air conditioning made up 13.1 trillion soums (7.9% of the total industry).
The index of the physical volume of the industry, compared to the corresponding period of 2019, increased by 12.9%.
The volume of products produced by enterprises of water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal made up 1.0 trillion soums (0.6% of the total industry).
Compared to the corresponding period of 2019, there was an increase in services for emptying, cleaning and processing cesspools, sedimentation tanks and septic tanks - by 33.5%. At the same time, a decrease was recorded in the volume of services for the removal, transportation of wastewater and their treatment by 4.2%, as well as the production of textile waste - by 3.4%.
As a result of measures taken to expand the range and stimulate the output of finished products, the production of consumer goods made up 54.6 trillion soums and, compared to the corresponding period of 2019, increased by 1.2%, the share in the total volume of industry was 32.7%.
Compared to the same period in 2019, in the structure of consumer goods production in January-June 2020, there was an increase in the share of non-food products from 64.0% to 64.2%.
In the structure of food production, the production of wine and vodka and beer made up 7.1% (7.3% in January-June 2019). In the structure of consumer goods production in the republic, the largest share falls on Andijan region (23.5% of the total volume of consumer goods), Tashkent city (19.8%), Tashkent (10.8%), Samarkand (8.1%) and Ferghana (6.0%) regions. The largest growth in the production of consumer goods was recorded in Andijan (109.0%), Tashkent (108.8%), Khorezm (108.1%) and Namangan (105.4%) regions.
In the structure of food production in the republic, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (24.2% of the total volume of food products), Tashkent (16.0%) and Samarkand (8.8%) regions. At the same time, the largest growth in food production was recorded in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (+8.7%), Tashkent (+13.6%), Namangan (+9.4%) Surkhandarya (+7.5%) regions and the Tashkent city (+4.8%).
In the structure of production of non-food products of the republic, the largest share falls on the Andijan region (33.4% of the total volume of nonfood products), Tashkent (17.4%), Tashkent (7.9%), Samarkand (7.7%) and Khorezm (6.3%) regions. The largest growth in the production of non-food products was recorded in Khorezm (+17.5% compared to the corresponding period of 2019), Andijan (+10.0%), Tashkent (+3.5%) and Navoi (+2.7%) regions.
During the reporting period, enterprises with foreign investments produced goods for 38.9 trillion soums, the share of which in the total production volume made up 23.3%.
The decrease in industrial production was significantly influenced by the decrease in the index of the physical volume of industrial production in Tashkent (-1.2%), Ferghana (-2.9%), Syrdarya (-4.7%), Kashkadarya (-6%) and Samarkand (-13.6% to January-June 2019) regions.
At the same time, there is an increase in the physical volume index in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (+3.0% compared to January-June 2019), as well as in Surkhandarya (+6.1%), Andijan (+5.6%), Navoi (+5.5%), Namangan (+4.5%) and Khorezm (+3.7%) regions.
In the structure of industrial output of the republic, the largest share falls on enterprises in the city of Tashkent (17.7% of the republican volume of industry), Navoi (17.1%), Tashkent (17.2%) and Andijan (10.3%) regions. The smallest share of industrial production was recorded at the enterprises of Surkhandarya (1.5%) and Jizzakh (1.6%) regions.
Analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita showed an excess of the national average (4 900.9 thousand soums) in Navoi (28 478.3 thousand soums), Tashkent (9 696.2 thousand soums), Andijan (5 449.8 thousand soums) regions and Tashkent city (11 366.9 thousand soums). The production of consumer goods per capita in the reporting period in the republic made up 1 604.7 thousand soums, including in the city of Tashkent - 4 174.0 thousand soums, Andijan region - 4 089.3 thousand soums, Tashkent region - 1 995.2 thousand soums, Navoi region – 1 716.3 thousand soums and Khorezm region - 1 527.1 thousand soums.
During the reporting period, small businesses produced goods worth 42.3 trillion soums, the share of which in the total production volume was 25.3%.
In the context of regions, the largest share of small business was observed in Jizzakh region (55.7% of the total industrial volume of the region), Tashkent city (38.8%), Surkhandarya (45.6%), Samarkand (43.8%), Namangan (43.7%) and Ferghana (37.4%) regions.
At the same time, the smallest share of small business was noted in Navoi (6.7%), Andijan (18.3%) and Tashkent (19.2%) regions, as well as in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (22.4%). Analysis of the structure of industrial production in the context of the regions of the republic showed that the low share of production of small businesses in the total volume of industry is explained by the significant production volume of large industrial enterprises located in these regions.
Today, 75.7 thousand industrial enterprises operate in the republic, of which 15.0 thousand (19.7% of the total number of operating enterprises) are in the city of Tashkent, 8.0 thousand (10.5%) - in Ferghana, 8.0 thousand (10.5%) - Tashkent, 7.8 thousand (10.2%) - Andijan, 6.3 thousand (8.3%) - Samarkand and 5.9 thousand (7, 8%) - Namangan regions.
In January-June 2020, 9,738 industrial enterprises were newly created in the republic, of which 958 (9.8% of the total number of newly created ones) are in the city of Tashkent, 738 (7.6%) are in Tashkent, 1607 (16, 5%) - Andijan, 597 (6.1%) - Khorezm, 783 (8.0%) - Samarkand and 663 (6.8%) - Ferghana regions.
To date, the largest number of operating industrial enterprises are located in the cities of Andijan (2 962 units), Namangan (2 398 units), Samarkand (1 472 units), Kokand (1 358 units), as well as in the following districts of the city of Tashkent: Almazar (2 074), Chilanzar (1 882), Uchtepa (1 807), Yunusabad (1 633), Shaikhantakhur (1 353) and Sergeli (1 294).
As of 1 July 2020, the minimum number of operating industrial enterprises is located in the city of Shirin (49 units) and Sardoba (66 units) district of Syrdarya region; Tamdy district (53 units), Navoi region; Yangiabad (59 units) and Arnasai (67 units) districts of Jizzakh region; Kegeili (61 units), Kanlykul (63 units), Takhtakupyr (57 units) and Bozatau (20 units) districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan; Bandikhan district (30 units), Surkhandarya region.
The development of industrial production in the republic was also facilitated by the implementation of the Program for the localization of the production of finished goods, components and materials, within the framework of which, according to 937 projects, products worth 6.7 trillion soums were produced, exported localized products - for US$73.2 million, created 3,718 new jobs. Compared to the same period in 2019, in January-June 2020, the number of newly created jobs increased 1.9 times. At the same time, compared to January-June 2019, there is a decrease in the volume of exports of localized products.
