Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- National telecommunication operator Uzbektelecom launched a Center for data processing UZCLOUD.

The project was implemented in cooperation with China’s Huawei (infrastructure, server equipment and virtualization system).

The project envisages creation of the Center for data processing and storage in Tashkent, Bukhara and Qoqand.

Currently, Uzbektelecom realized the first stage of the project – creation of the Center for data processing and storage in Tashkent.

The project is aimed at satisfying growing demand for hosting services and provide new services to customers.

Within the project, the company introduced ActivePlatform software, used to manage cloud business.

Currently, the data center consists of 160 blade-servers with the storage capacity of 1 petabyte and can be increased up to 10 petabytes.
