New bridge over Amu-Bukhara channel opened

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- New and modern bridge over Amu-Bukhara channel has been commissioned in Karaulbazar district of Bukhara region of Uzbekistan.

About 11.8 billion soums were directed to construction of the bridge, which is located at international highway A-380 “Guzar-Bukhara-Nukus-Beineu”.

New bridge with the length of 72.5 km has a roadway with two-way traffic, and the width of each carriageway is over 10 meters. In addition, two pedestrian pavements with the width of 1.5 meters are also constructed.

New automobile roads from both sides of the bridge were also laid – 247 km from Bukhara side and 178 km – from Karshi side.
