Narbaeva, Satyarthi Discuss Child Rights Protection

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Chairwoman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva met with Asmita Satyarthi, director general of the Satyarthi Movement for Global Compassion, on the sidelines of the 12th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Samarkand, the Senate’s press service said.

The sides discussed further expanding humanitarian cooperation.

Particular attention was given to opportunities for exchanging experience and organizing joint seminars, expert meetings and parliamentary discussions on protecting children’s rights and supporting children in need of social protection.

The sides also exchanged views on further increasing the role of women in society, supporting young women leaders and developing social leadership.
