Moroccan Officials Appointed for Uzbekistan-Portugal World Cup Match

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The match officials have been announced for the second round of the World Cup group stage between the national teams of Portugal and Uzbekistan. The tournament is currently taking place across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

FIFA referee Jalal Jayed from Morocco has been appointed as the head referee for the upcoming match. He will be assisted on the lines by his compatriots Zakaria Brinsi and Mustapha Akarkad. The duties of the fourth and fifth officials for this game have been assigned to representatives from the Republic of South Africa, Abongile Tom and Zakhele Siwela.

The match between the national teams of Uzbekistan and Portugal will take place on Tuesday, 23 June 2026. The game will kick off at 22:00 Tashkent time.

This will mark the second game for the Uzbekistan national football team within the group stage of the current world championship.
